Adjusting to life in Europe: Shoes

Practically Speaking

You'll need good shoes to walk and stand in. No seriously, be practical with foot wear choices. It’s amazing how fast your shoes will wear out. You can find cheap shoes here, but keep in mind what kind of strain you’re putting on your body by walking in shoes that are not supportive.

My grandfather stood all day for his work as a dentist and he taught me a trick. Whatever shoes you have, and however good they are, do not wear the same shoes two days in a row. Every pair of shoes is made slightly different so the pressures on your feet will be different. If you change it up, your feet (and therefore your whole body) will feel more refreshed! Trust me, it works.
